Maxwell Bonnie '07
Maxwell Bonnie, dedicated supporter of the College Fund and former member of the Benefactors Society Board, brings both entrepreneurial spirit and a deep commitment to community to his involvement.
A University of Virginia graduate (Class of 2007), Maxwell credits his time on Grounds with shaping his path. Drawn to UVA for its breadth of opportunity, he explored a wide range of interests—from business and media studies to photography and music—while forming lasting relationships and learning the value of genuine human connection. That sense of curiosity and openness continues to guide him today.
After early career exploration, Maxwell found his calling in entrepreneurship. He is now the co-founder of Saltbox, a growing network of logistics and warehouse spaces designed to support small and emerging e-commerce businesses. His work is rooted in the belief that by building strong communities and providing access to resources, businesses can thrive and succeed at a higher rate.
"When you have power, and you have ability to do something, you almost have a mandate to serve, and I want to be that example across the room." - Maxwell Bonnie '07
Maxwell’s outlook is grounded in a simple but powerful idea: people matter most. He believes deeply in connection, storytelling, and the responsibility to give back. As he puts it, when you have the ability to make a difference, you have a mandate to serve.
Arts & Sciences is proud to call Maxwell an alum and grateful for his steadfast support of the College Fund for the last 10 years. Through both his professional work and his philanthropy, Maxwell exemplifies a commitment to strengthening communities and creating opportunities for others.
